Back on land..back to reality!

We JUST got back from our cruise and it was absolutely perfect. There is no other way to describe four days in the middle of the ocean with my fabulous husband!

Pictures will be up soon when I get my feet on the ground and stop swaying from the imaginary boat I still seem to be on...

Day 1: We got on the boat Sunday around 1:00, by-passed all the confused people who had never been on the boat before (this is my fourth time...spoiled? definitely) headed straight to a delicious lunch, and immediately glued ourselves to a chair by the pool in the adult only area. Our relaxation was rudely interrupted by the mandatory lifeboat drill, but we were soon back in business assuming the tropical drink/pool day.

Later on, we got to go to one of my favorite shows on the Disney Wonder, The Golden Mickeys! These Broadway-like shows rival anything I've seen in NY! We had dinner at an island themed restaurant, Parrot Cay and explored the ship!

Day 2: Woke up and had a HUGE breakfast and went back to the pool. It was our day at sea so we just relaxed the whole day, went to Toy Story the Musical, and had dinner at Triton's, a french restaurant.

Day 3: Bahamas day! We woke up in the beautiful Bahamas with a view of the Atlantis and gorgeous blue water. Graham had surprised me with a couples massage for our anniversary so we headed to the spa and had the best massage EVER. We were going to go explore downtown Nassau but we love the ship so much we marveled at the beauty of the island from our cozy pool chair and had our new friend Adam bringing us Pina Coladas all day!

There wasn't a show so we went to Diversions, the sports Pub to watch some ESPN before dinner. Well imagine our jaws dropping to the floor when we see that Tommy Bowden had been "relieved from his duties" on the bottom ticker! A lot goes on when you have no contact to the outside world. I was a Tommy Bowden supporter, but I am really excited to see what is going to happen in Death Valley with this new shake-up in the program...but that's a whole new post altogether...

Day 4: Castaway Cay day! Disney has its own private island in the middle of the Bahamas. Its hard to describe, just trust me, its whatever your idea of an island paradise is! We took a tram to the remote side of the island to the adult beach. We picked a chairs close to the water and once again did not move all day! It was so hard to leave when they called all aboard but we had to get ready for the final show, Disney Dreams. We had dinner at Animator's Palate, a really neat restaurant that starts out black and white but transforms into bright colors throughout the meal.

We sadly got up this morning and drove back with grumpy, frowny faces but it's back to reality after a wonderful, much-needed vacation!

100 MPH

My only excuse for not blogging lately is that I have been going non-stop since school has started. Between going to Clemson and working constantly I have not had a chance to catch my breath until today!

Last weekend, I went up to Clemson by myself to stay with my parents and see my friends. Graham had to stay behind to pick their fall crop of grape tomatoes. Little did he know, he was actually the lucky one for not being able to watch the "tiger self-implosion" in person. Oh well, you can't win them all! (especially if you shoot yourself in the foot with silly penalties....but anyway....)
I had a great week at school and had SO MUCH fun last night at the Shrimp Festival downtown with Hunter, Joe, Christie, Brad, Margaret, and Ben. It was a beautiful night for friends and the Blue Dogs!
Today, is total relaxation day....tomorrow is full teacher mode with a big dose of super planning because next Saturday I will be on my way to my favorite place in the whole wide world....
The Disney Wonder! Graham and I are going on a late anniversary, early Christmas trip next weekend from Sunday-Thursday. This is my fourth time going on this cruise and Graham's 2nd and I will never go on another boat. It is absolutely amazing, top of the line, luxury! I am SOOO excited. Here are some pictures of the last time we went, last spring, with my mom, before we got married.

This next week is going to be crazy trying to plan for 3 days of school that I will not be there for, but I am up for the challenge and ready to be on my way to paradise!
